A Virtual Writing Course with the Goal to
Accept, Process and Celebrate Our Feelings

Writing and the written word has forever been a home for me and something that I love connecting with others on. During challenging times, I find simple and honest journal prompts to yield some of the most profound and freeing reflections. I find that creative writing and taking a different view on something I’ve come across many times before offers playfulness, joy and internal shifts. Emotions have intrigued me since I was a child and personifying them to better understand them has shown to be one of my favorite ways of writing (and processing). This course is born from my interest in mental health, holistic well-being and the art of writing.

Today, I am honored and excited to offer virtual writing courses for the people who are looking to evolve their self-care, self-compassion and writing practice in a new way. These virtual sessions allow even the busiest person to tune in and hear themselves through cultivating a writing practice that gives permission to be human. Personifying to Process was intentionally created to enhance the lives of those who join us, in a way that is accessible, affordable, supportive, and grounded in simplicity and compassion.

You’re Here to…

Process.

Processing is a means of living. We stay stagnant and stuck when we choose passivity or reluctancy. You’re here because you’re brave and because you’re ready to process and better understand your emotions.

Heal.

Healing takes compassionate commitment and that’s one of the core values we focus on in this course. To heal, you need a safe space and that’s just what this is. You’re here so you can move inward to move forward. You have permission to be human.

Self-Discover.

Self-discovery is a direct result of processing emotions and in return helps us better understand what we need to replete. You’re here because you value growth and understand that the benefit always outweighs the challenge.

Connect.

Connection starts with ourselves and moves into our relationships. You’re here to connect on a deeper level with yourself so you can create more joy, deeper connection and more compassion in your life — both for yourself and others.

In these virtual writing workshops…

We’ll be focusing on different emotions and how they affect our inner landscape and the world we’ve created. We’ll also be exploring what other emotions come to the surface as we explore and how we can reconnect with our feelings with more acceptance and less judgement.

We’ll greet the emotion, then sit with it before we converse and hang out for a bit. Once we’re finished with our time together, we say goodbye and give gratitude (both to ourselves and judgement). Overtime, our work lies in reframing our opinions and biases around certain emotions and better understanding how our emotions work to support us.

This workshop was created to help you cultivate a road map (that works for YOU) when processing your emotions. Personifying to Process will guide you through creative writing exercises and journal prompts that cultivate your tool-belt of well-being and self-care through vulnerable and humble writing practices.

I am here as your guide, your cheerleader, your supporter and your friend. Throughout the entire course, I make a commitment to hold space and listen.

My Process

This course will lead you in deep journaling, creative and imaginative writing, and supportive reflection within the next 4 modules. I created the space for this course, but the truth is that you are the master and you know your process best. My goal is not to tell you how to process, but instead invite you to see your emotions from a different perspective so that you may understand and further connect with hope (and yourself) fully (and with a whole lot of love).

Within the next four modules, we’ll walk through the following topics:

Week 1: Greet // Before we can begin to connect, we need to greet our emotion and feel it in our body.

Week 2: Sit // Now that we’ve greeted our emotion, we sit and better understand how and why we connect with it. We gain more clarity on the effect it has in our life — internally and externally.

Week 3: Converse // Here is where we really listen to the thoughts and stories we hold around this particular emotion(s). We use creative writing and our senses to hold a conversation and connect deeper.

Week 4: Goodbye + Gratitude //  It’s important not to overstay our welcome with each emotion. We show up to connect and we leave when it’s time, knowing there will be another chance to continue the conversation and learn more.

Every week you will receive:

  • Course materials that you can access 24/7 through Teachable, including a PDF of this week’s process (with journal and creative writing prompts) and a video with guidance, support and insight.

Why I Created This Space.

I spent my Saturday mornings writing instead of watching cartoons as a child and quickly learned the healing power in storytelling. As a sensitive creative, I always found curiosity in my feelings and embraced them as old friends — some, who I felt overstayed their welcome and others whom I never wanted to part from.

At the age of 17, I found myself in a deep depression with suicidal ideations. Through therapy and healing, I witnessed firsthand the importance of meeting with one’s emotions without attaching judgement or getting lost in their message. I noticed, too, how society was quick to dismiss emotional intelligence and self-care and how detrimental that was for the people I loved (including myself).

I soon started writing and sharing what I found when I met with these emotions — what our dwellings and time together consisted of — and found that others could relate and connect in a way that is only possible when we embrace that which is an essential part of us.

This workshop is created to hold space for others who want to connect with themselves and their emotions on a deeper level and in a grounded manner. My hopes is that you learn to love yourself unconditionally and give yourself permission to be human — understanding that all emotions are beautiful and whole in nature — just like us.

How do I know if this program is worth the investment?

Ah, I’ve always loved this question in the FAQ part of the website. The truth is, I can’t answer this for you. Does it feel aligned with your values and interests? Do you feel a pull towards it for one reason or another? Do you think this would bring you joy, peace or aid in your health and well-being? Granted those are things that matter to you, then I would say you’ve already got your answer.

When will the course materials be sent?

Absolutely not. This is a come one, come all kind of course and was created for humans and beings of all kind. All you need is an open-heart, open-mind and desire to reflect with the support of others.

It’s an honor to navigate human experiences with you. The places we dwell are what bring us closer and I’m always grateful for the time we spend together.

I hope to see you there.

The Personifying to Process Courses

Exploring Judgement

Our very first Personifying to Process Course has us looking at Judgement in a multitude of ways — the way it shows up for us, the stories it brings with us and how it affects our relationships, both internally and externally. We’ll explore how we can get more comfortable with an uncomfortable emotion and what judgement needs in order to soften and move through.

Reconnecting with Hope

What does it look like for us to reconnect with hope after the last couple of years? What does it mean to reconnect with hope even in the most basic, simplest of human experiences? What do we need to choose hope? These themes (and more) are what we explore through this Personifying to Process course.

Embracing Vulnerability

To be human is to be vulnerable. For many, it can feel uncomfortable, hard and scary. For some, it can feel expansive, intimate and transformative. Most times, it's a mixture of so many feelings at once. But whatever it is, it's ours to keep and like all emotions, it's a relationship we can more fully acknowledge and honor.
